Say how often. Get the five fields.

Pick a pattern and a time; the Bell writes the cron fields and reads them back to you in plain words. Times are on the server's clock.

How often should the job run? Every few minutes Every hour Every day Monday to Friday On certain days of the week Once a month

Every N minutes (for "every few minutes") Minute past the hour (for "every hour") Time of day, 24-hour (daily, weekdays, weekly, monthly) Day of the month (for "once a month")

Days (for "certain days of the week")

Sun Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat

Why "every 7 minutes" is not offered: cron counts minutes within each hour, so */7 runs at :00, :07 ... :56 and then again at :00, four minutes later. Only steps that divide 60 evenly keep a steady beat.

Hillbilly Hosting sells no hosting. Chore Bell reads the crontab text you paste. It never connects to your server, runs nothing and looks nothing up; it cannot see what your host has actually scheduled.
